It is widely believed that the jewellery industry is rife with social and environmental exploitation. As and where possible I use sustainable materials in my design. A new material I have been investigating recently are lab grown diamonds.
Lab grown diamonds are produced in a lab under controlled extreme heat or extreme pressure settings, and have the exact same properties as a natural diamond. Some say same same, but different. Many believe that these diamonds may be the way forward to sustainable jewellery design, reducing mining effect on the ecology of the earth surface.
This ring Is a beautiful example of sustainable design. Made using lab grown diamonds and Fair-Trade gold. A truly natural piece incorporating a leaf setting and intertwining branches for the band.
