Repairs and Restoration
If, unfortunately, you receive a damaged order, please reach out to hello@andlottie.com within the initial 14 days.
In the event of an item being damaged within 3 months due to design, material, or workmanship defects, we offer a complimentary repair service. Post this period, repairs will be evaluated case by case and may incur a fee.
If there is evidence of damage resulting from neglect or your actions, we're still happy to repair the item, though a repair fee will be applicable.
Over time, regular wear and tear may necessitate professional polishing, repair, restoration, or stone resetting for jewellery.
We recommend checking daily-worn items, such as engagement or stone-set wedding rings, every six to twelve months to ensure settings are in proper working order. Settings like micro setting, claw setting, and pave settings are particularly susceptible to knocks.
Feel free to contact us at hello@andlottie.com for further details on jewellery restoration.
Jewellery Care
To keep your jewellery in peak condition, consider these tips:
-
Store jewellery in a fabric-lined box or individual pouches to protect it.
-
Remove jewellery when applying scent, lotions, or during labor-intensive activities.
-
Wash jewellery in warm soapy water, using fingers or a soft brush to remove dirt.
Gold and Silver Care
Handle gold with care as it's a softer alloy. Remove jewellery during activities that may cause sharp impacts.
Silver tarnishes quickly; use a specialist silver polish for cleaning. Consult professionals for advice to avoid damage to gemstones.
Pearl Care
Pearls are soft; avoid using harsh detergents. Clean with a damp muslin cloth if needed. Remove pearls during exercise, household tasks, or bathing.
Stone Care
Gemstones are hard, but cut and setting affect their vulnerability. Porous gemstones like emeralds and opals need careful handling. Avoid contact with creams, lotions, and household chemicals. Clean with lukewarm water and a lint-free cloth. Store in the provided soft pouch, away from extreme temperatures. Avoid using ultrasonic machines, strong detergents, or adhesives on gemstones.
Mindful Design Approach
Embracing a mindful design philosophy, each creation is meticulously crafted, either tailored to existing designs or as a unique bespoke piece, advocating against mass-production and standardised styles. At &Lottie, we eschew conformity, ensuring that every design is organic, idiosyncratic, and shrouded in an enigmatic allure. Our commitment extends beyond aesthetics, as we strive to weave beautiful design stories that unfold prior to the birth of each piece, adding a meaningful touch of magic to our lives.
Materials play a pivotal role in our conscientious process, as &Lottie carefully curates them. Our jewellery comes to life through the skilled hands of artisans based in London and Jaipur, utilising SMO Gold, 100% recycled, and traceable materials where possible. Each creation stands as a testament to our dedication to uniqueness and mindful production, ensuring that every piece holds a special place in the world of thoughtful design.
Responsible Manufacturing Practices
At &Lottie, we forge partnerships with manufacturers who share our brand values. In alignment with our dedication to ethical and eco-conscious sourcing, our production facilities carry certification from the Responsible Jewellery Council—a non-profit organisation dedicated to setting standards and certifying practices. Our commitment extends beyond product creation, fostering sustainable growth and development within local communities. This holistic approach encompasses community well-being, educational advancement, environmental preservation, and contributions to health and wellness.
The Responsible Jewellery Council is instrumental in promoting responsible business practices. It advocates for the protection of both human well-being and the environment, efficient utilisation of natural resources, diligent supply chain practices, upholding human rights, and supporting community development while mitigating sourcing risks.
Our unwavering focus on product quality and attention to detail is paramount. Each new design undergoes a thorough testing process before earning a place in our shop.
